Im having trouble figuring out which settings I need to have on EVtool to make a working bios for my XBOX. I can figure out the boot sequence and the colors I want, thats the easy part. Im confused by the order of operations though...
should I unpack a a file first or just open and edit?
what stettings should I put my LBA48 support to (for 120GB HDD)?
What is a IGR method?
Im sure its better to choose "More Compatable" but whats the advantage of choosing "quick"?
Why would I want to copy the MD5 to clipboard?
And how do I save? should I pack then save? just pack (which files should I select when prompted? just save?
So basically what would you do if you were making a new bios to boot to say XBMC or UnleashX after DVD on a v1.1 Xbox?
The part that confuses me first is the packing-unpacking saving-loading process, and the order I should take.
I just cant seem to get the BIOSes I churn out to work!

I just open and edit.
With a 120GB HD, don't worry about the LBA48 hack settings. You are going to only get an F drive with that size anyway. You only need to worry about that if you have a HD over 137GB.
IGR method (IN GAME RESET method). If you use the more quick method it takes you back to the evox dash, but sometimes isn't always compatible. The more compatible method reload the hacked bios each time. It takes an extra six seconds or so, but is the one I use the most.
WhenI am done, I just save.
If it was me and I was using a 1.1 xbox I probably wouldn't be using a M8 bios. That is why you are using EVtool correct? I thougth EVtool is only for M8 bios'. Am I correct? I would be using a Xecuter2 4983. variant.

Thanks for making it clear.
I have a version of M8 that works now from EVtool.
Im sure it would be a whole nother string about why Xecuter2 is better than M8. But I am curious, what is the bigest gain you get for running it on a 1.1, vs. M8 on a 1.1?
