Hi guys, I'm Tony and recently I have done my first softmod using the Rocky5 softmod. I am running XBMC Emustation as the front end.
I have a few problems that I'm looking for help with. I tried searching for forum threads first but I couldn't find much.
If there are threads that can help me please link them to me. Some of my problems include - The downloader not working, problems with getting the N64 running (running surreal and Earthworm James' ROM pack), Hard drive space, NES black screen (can hear audio).
No trouble with GBA, GBC, SNES, Genesis.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Downloaded Nestopia and ftp'd over and went to run a game and it just crashed and went back to unleash x dash. Downloaded another surreal and gave that a go and that did the same thing. Unfortunately.
Any ideas why the downloader on emustation doesn't do work? It does show the 3 blue dots in the top left corner when I do click on something to download but it seems like it just keeps doing that. I have left it like that for a while to see if it would complete a download.

The downloader not working make sure that its hooked up to the router and the network settings make sure its setup for dhcp then restart and then it should work.
problems with getting the N64 running (running surreal and Earthworm James' ROM pack: well might be a bad download retry and ftp it back in or try downloading from a better known source
Hard drive space what is the question on this lol if you using a stock hard drive this might be your issue with not everything working because there is no space or are you asking how to upgrade it?
NES black screen (can hear audio). Either ran out of hard drive space or bad install? _________________ The one the only Scarface!!

I checked the network settings and it was set to Automatic and in brackets (DHCP) and it's been like that the whole time as far as I know. I had no trouble downloading the downloader itself but I don't think I've been able to download anything off the downloader.
The hard drive space thing was to do with the three partitions you can't see, labelled X, Y, Z but someone said that was your cache so thats ok. I cleared cache on unleash x dash and that freed up some decent space on my E partition.
Seemed to have fixed the problem with the NES. I switched from NTSC to PAL and that seemed to work so I'll be keeping an eye out for that wherever I can now.
If you know a good source for the EWJ ROM pack and the surreal emulator I will give them a go. I have tried two different ROM packs both from mega.nz and I have tried the surreal off emuxtras and off this site I think. The initial problem I was having with the N64 was when I was scanning for the system and ROMs and it said "surreal.ini" is corrupt. I've also tried downloading a good surreal.ini and copying that over with no success.

This setup is almost 6gbs so it wont fit on a normal drive but if your only looking for select games and that then you can remove the others and all the extra stuff like coverart ect to make it fit on a stock one ha let me know if you still want it
