cant seem to get coinops to run on my softmodded xbox tried launching it from default xbe. and all it does is goes back to unleash dashboard. super confused after I ftp all the files over to e drive and dropped them into emulators folder. if anyone could help me out with this because im stumpt

It is most likely a download error or something of that ilk. So a re-download would indeed be the obvious first thing to try.
The downloads I've found are all multiple parts and if they are not all extracted together that would cause all sorts of problems. What did you use to do that, 7Zip or something else?
I'd be wondering about the size of even of 'just' CoinOps 8 Lite.
The download itself, usually, RAR files alone totals up to about 4.5GB. When decompressed that is a very big folder to be installing on the E:\drive. Are you sure all of it FTPed?
Games of that size are best located on F:\ or G:\ if available. If you haven't installed a larger HDD then I'd make doing so a priority if you want to make full use of your Xbox as a games playing platform.
With anything that big on my set up when I FTP with FileZilla I can expect to get multiple 'Failed To Transfer' errors. If those are not all religiously re-queued and successfully installed problems are inevitable.
