The staff here on Xbox-HQ are looking for new moderators to help us in the Xbox-HQ forums, with Xbox 1 technical questions, uploading files, and adding tutorials or video tutorials. If you are enthusiastic about the Xbox 1 and believe you could add value to the site here, please make a reply, or even better get in touch directly via the site feedback page.
A big thanks must go to our most active moderators on Xbox-HQ: SPPV, Prehistoricman and dartht33bagger, who have been around the most of all of our Xbox-HQ moderators lately.. (wes.. lol where are you? arrggg lol )
So, to sum things up, if you are active and able to contribute new topics, helpful replies and maybe upload some apps or news, please get active in our forums and get in touch via PM, SKYPE (user: forahobby), or EMAIL via the feedback page on xbox-hq.
Hey Hobbs, I'd be interested. I'm an advanced newb lol, but I can relate to those who are modding for the first time and can definitely answer some of the most basic questions so SPPV doesn't have to.
I've been redirecting people going to youtube tuts on xbox 1 softmodding to this site, so maybe I can try to help out those people myself
I'll add you on skype too to talk more about how to be a mod

Pity RazorsUnleashX doesnt come around anymore. I always saw him as next in line for a bump. Great understaning of the hardware and software side of modding and repair. Ive always seen that as the most important quality for staff since people tend to treat what staff say as gospel, and last thing anybody needs is to have our users sent off with bad advice.
Wes was on the other day but didnt post anything. On and gone.
Edit
What we really need are secret mods. You remember way back when you first asked me to be a mod Hobbs I said sure but I dont want it to say Im a mod. Then you asked me if Id admin and I said sure but I dont wnt it to say admin. All because people tend to be on there best behaviour when they think someone who can drop the hammer is online. But when they think they can get away with it the true colours come out. Sadly now days we have a lot of mouthy un-thankful people looking to mod (not here all the bannings Ive done were for SPAM) but its nice to weed out the douche bags to keep this what its always been......A place where people can come and NOT get insulted or treated like some yellow noob. Ive only seen one mouth piece here and Wes was faster than me and banned em And Id really like to see it stay that way. You put a butt load of work into making the place Hobbs, guys like DJB put in a butt load of work to give people an option to XS exploits/apps, and Ive pt in a butt load of work to bring the place back to life and bring in fresh blood and content. We gota keep it like that, a friendly place for people looking for info, help or content for the greatest console ever made.

yup i have to agree with you. I like how it is. no flaming and no dickheads.. All we really need is a small handful of guys who are interested in helping us out.. That way you dont get stuck doing all the silly questions. You wait until you see how much work i have put into the new look of the sites.. _________________ HQ Network:

Hey Hobbs,
I'm scanning the site daily for help SPPV is providing me, I can easily answer the really stupid questions such as: 'where do I go to get softmod files' etc.
Of course SPPV can see my responses and if he thinks the info I supply to a user is way off, he can always just give his two cents and since he's a moderator, people are going to listen to him over some newb user like me.

Post some more, help people some more. Post a tut or 78 and submit some new content Halofan. People need to show dedication to the console and site and that they can hold their temper when dealing with losers. Believe me when I say its hard work. When I joined I swear Hobbs must have been bashing his head off the wall. Everyday I was submiting a bunch of video tuts and with our setup everything needs Admin approval before going visible. I swear he lost a year of his life watching my vids to make sure they were kosher. Probably why he asked me to adin. A little payback lol.
Hobbs has final say on whos staff and who isnt, but I know he takes my opinion seriously when it comes to this site, and somebody with the best intentions but the wrong answer makes more work for me. I suggest checking out our tuts and watching the vids on my channel to get up to speed on XBOX before thinking about becoming staff. http://www.youtube.com/user/Lef0rt0v0?feature=mhee
@Hobbs
I stoked on the revamp for the site. Right now we still have the 2006 cutting edge look, and bringing us into this year I think will play a big part in us hitting high numbers on viisits and hopefully we can get enough subs we can ditch the ads.

Hey SPPV,
I'll do what I can to help people. I've been trying to migrate new modders from youtube xbox softmod tuts to this site, to try and generate some interest in modding. There are still people out there who know nothing about it but are interested. Heck just look at me for an example!
I totally agree with you, good intentions + bad advice = bricked xbox. So I definitely am not going to say something I don't feel 100% comfortable with.
I see one of your tut videos discussed memory leeks. Would you say being a good mod requires knowledge of .xbe programming, C/C++? Or just knowing how to do various things on modded xboxes?

I dont expect coders and such. Took me like 20 years literaly to get where I am far as coding goes, and if Hobbs or Legendary were the mean spirited type would call me a bitch ass noob If you know some repair (99.9% is methodology) your cool. Just look at my posts I dont tll John Smith how to code an xbe etc I just tell him how to use "this" to fix that. If you an recite/explain how to use AID, SID, XBMC Installer, AutoBuilder and my other various installers and hopefuly the older versions o DJBs work youre golden.
The whole Python, XML, C code you need not worry about as I will handle that and most sking quetions in that regard thought it was easy like my sister and run and hide when I start posting basic XMl scripts, iet alone gettin into th coding of stuff like AutBuilder, XMV2WMV Alpha and WMV92XMV

thanks mate, we need guys a few different timezones as well, that will help keep the place more active. When i get done with the new 360-HQ skin i will announce it network wide.. Then you all know work will soon be beginning on xbox-hq.. I really hope you all will like the fresh new look im going for. It will still be the same community, nothing at all missing, every single area will be re designed and coded to suit the new theme, and much easier to find all this stuff.
I have lots of plans for the original xbox-hq site, so never fear. it is never going anywhere.

Thanks DOA666, many over the years have craped on my work because I promote a straight line approach. f#&@ the Oceans 11 entry front door is wide open and the maid is saying come on oin lol. My work is very basic as any that I pass src can see, my"advantage"is simply a diffrent thinking on the code or attack. Why loose 10,000 troops on a frontal assault when we can make the enemy think we are part of the same platoon and walk in and knife em with no one aware

Hey, you got any previews or concept pictures of the new layout? Will it be consistent before all the HQs? I can't wait for it :) _________________

I started work on the new skin/layout on December 18th, 2012. I have been working on it every single week minimum 2 days a week so far. Here is a sample of what the new 360-HQ will look like. Xbox-HQ will look similar but of course be slightly different.
I will be updating that thread in the very near future with some new screenshots of my progress.. Basically i have nearly complete the Games, News, Screenshots, Videos, Reviews, Cheats and Achievements areas.. I have the forum 50% complete with a new skin and sub categories and loads more.
i relaly hope everyone will like the new look, it will load uber fast on all devices.
