So do we need to be chipped or not?
I think I have to reinstall xbmc because it keeps freezing out on me.
I've tried dragging a plain iso over it would load to the menu screen then freeze same if I tried it with the files.

You gotta give more info Ken, be specific. Dashboard installed, what version, softmod installed, FTP method, game rip method, XBMC build, install method, etc

How do you check the Dashboard from Sid5?
I don't know much of those I just use what was included in I think I'm on Sid 5 Pimped v.20?
For game rips like I said I just find back ups of the iso and drag them into a folder called Games or something in xbmc
For FTPing I just use Filezilla and connected regularly from a router to a Ethernet cord.
Hope that helped.

Ok since you didnt make the backup first target is the ISO, possible bad rip. Second is the format, while the newer UnleashX and XBMC in theory can support using ISO its never transferred through into practice. If you have an ISO either burn it to DVD-r at 4x or else use CXBOX to extract then FTP the folder. If you used Pimped V2 you have UnleashX V.39 installed as dash. You can check your XBMC by going to settings and build and it should say what release it is.
That aside 100% best methods are a) Cut out the middle man and rip the games direct from disc to HDD yourself
b) Extract the ISO and FTP using IE Explorer to your XBOX
Sometimes DVD2XBOX will act like it ripped a disc succesfuly when it didnt (its happened to me before) which can cause these issues so like I said first culprit is the rip.

Iso extraction worked like a charm! Seems to be no problem though I only tested Land of the dead, is there a nice easy way on getting them onto xbmc and showing a cover on it?

1- Make a folder on your F or G drive called Games
2- FTP or rip the games to that folder
3- Reboot your XBOX
4- Run XBMC
5- Go to Programs, click on Add Source now browse to your Games folder and click on it (it should open the folder)
6- Go done to OK and click on it
7- Go back to the main XBMC screen and click on Programs again now click on Games
8- On the left hand side at the top it should say List- click on it till it shows the games the way you want em theres 5 or 6 different styles.
Do the exact same for Emulators, and for Music or Videos its the same only you would click on Music or Videos not Programs

I found out another way, you can just simply drag an image over and rename it Default.tbn and it should look fine, I don't know what it's called but it looks epic when I have it in scroll mode from left to right since I'm on a lowdef once I get a 40inch I'm gonna have to get the HD cables
