Hey thanks LegendaryFire, I'd like to see something that works with windows media player as a streaming option that lets you stream your videos from your pcs hard drive like the new gen consoles do.

I'm sure you can already stream from your PC to xbox using Xbox Media Center, although I'm not guarantee!

Well there are other programs like PlayOn, Tversity PlayOn works really well with YouTUbe that allows you to stream videos from Users channels, It also has many other websites, YouTubes free the only down side if you can't search but you could build a playlist and watch videos later from your own account.

Sorry, I'm a bit confused, are you talking about PC to PC streaming or PC to Xbox streaming?

I'm talking about PC to Xbox like how the PS3 or 360 can.

Ohhhh, the thing is that the Xbox and Xbox 360 streaming methods are way different as Xbox 360 has Windows Media Center feature which makes streaming a million times more easy. Although feel free to create a new thread on the forum with your question! We don't want to hijack SPPV's thread! Smile

Yepp, although the only homebrew application for the xbox that can stream is XBMC, which has already been added if I am correct! Smile

True, but theres always room for something new, if not it can be an add on for XBMC the only way I can see it happening is if you constantly have a Ethernet cord and someone updates the program to were you can enter your XBOXs IP want what not I dunno Im not a programmer.

Yeh it's all good man! It can already stream without any add-ons or anything if I remember right though! Using the new XBMC4Xbox release I am pretty sure they added support for live streams!

The only thing it would be useful to is Modders with smaller HDDs since it seems like the price for IDEs Sky rocketed over the past couple years. I'll be sure to try the program out though if I can ever come across it.

Yeah, the only thing is you have to keep in mind of the Xbox 1's hardware, if it would be able to stream much, is unknown. 733MHz CPU compared to the Xbox 360's 3.2GHz Tri-Core.

No worries guys Im not like what you see in other forums I dont care if its not 100% on point as long as it helps someone. Avalaunch has limited streaming abilities as well as XBMC but the fact is you get choppy results and to stream to XBMC requires XP Media Center Edition (7 may work but Ive never tried) and it was like watching a youtube video on a realy shitty connection. Much easier and quicker approach is just have a FAT32 thumbdrive handy load some vids on it and watch em with XBMC.

On topic XBMC is included in the Pimped portion of UBCD. Later today Im gonna be going over to my buddies and use his PC to test it, the last build I did kept crashing part way through the HDD build so still some bugs to work out. But early testing before my PC died shows promise and that this will work, trouble with linux ISOs added to the custom section seems to be a comon issue on the UBCD forums.

Off topic new XBMC for Pimped will be uploaded to the VIP server later today or tommorow. This is the June29 build.

dont know whats happening to this project, but it would be cool to include lftp and gxiso, they havent failed me yet and gxiso has converted/decomp'd/patched over 150 iso's for me with 0 failing (some ntsc games required me to switch to ntsc with enigma to get them to play though)

gxiso will run from command line if no gui is present too so its awesome on my headless server.

lftp mirrors directories so one command copies an entire folders contents and looks for differences, if a gui ftp app is required gftp is pretty good at syncing/mirroring also.
