Xman954 has made this great nkpatcher variant that patches the kernel granting certain people who tsoped or installed a modchip the ability to load games from iso files(spit the file if it is over the size limit). Tested and working with m8 plus bios on a 1.0 tsop. Did not work with x2 5035.
ISO loading is one of my favorite advantages that softmods have over hardmods. ISO loading has the benefit of being super compatible, usually taking away the need for a patch to fix copy protection or long file names. I stumbled on the file simply out of luck. Couldn't find a readme file or a forum post or anything. Comes pre-compiled. Has a patcher, attacher, dismounter and ripper.
I have been looking for something like this for a while, forum members say this is not possible or to use pbl to load retail bfm, then nkpatcher, and finally the game. This is a clean solution and it also seems possible to load the patcher before the dashboard(haven't figured that one out yet).
Edit: I see that I posted in the wrong forum. Intended to post in the AID forums, sorry.
