Heres a few other things you can try. Boot dos locking tools and type xboxscene for the unlock pasword(cant remeber if its smal or capital letters)
If Dos doesnt register the drive you can try MHDD for unlocking the drive using the master pasword xboxscene.
Next option is make a boot disc (XBOXHDM but C E and F folders are left empty only EEPROM is added) if the boot disc works when it says put in source disc put in the disc youve been trying with
Final option is put your EEPROM.bin in a folder, zip it and attach it to a PM and I can either build you a drive or a working disc
How much would it be to get you the drive and back?
i have no idea im in kamloops british columbia canada. If your in canada or western usa I cant see it being that much

It'll probably be a month or two before I can do anything, do you care if it's a 2.0TB? I'll include the chip with it. Also what type of computers did you recommend that works well with xboxhdm? I want to try everything on my own first before I send it.

I stay away from the large drives to many issues with them. As for a PC any old AMD based PC should be fine (athlon, sempron etc) Ive never had an amd pc fail to build, but ive had 2 intel ones shit the bed on me
If you can get a homebuild tower rather than brandname
