I just hardmodded an exbox for my friend useing the smartxx v3 and i forgot which and how to update the bios. can anyone help me...i think this has to do with it but i put in the aid cd and i get an error 13..please help and thanks

i went to that link but it doesnt help much with the issue im haveing, i already installed the chip i just need to know which bios to use and if that has anything to do with the error 13 im getting.

Error 13 can be a bad BIOS but most of the time it is just the BIOS looking for the dash in the wrong location.

The bios for the X-2 but i dont recall the latest build.

hey wes would it be the x2 5035 my xbox version is a 1.2 or 1.3 and i was also wondering if it would be the 512mb one....i see the bios from the aid disk but i just dont know which one to use...if it helps im also trying to upgrade my hd to a 320gb...thanks in advance.

The 512mb version should work fine.
I thought that chip could handle the X3 3294 bios _________________

i know im gonna saound like an idiot but when i try to flash by burning the bios into the cd it doesnt detact anything in my cd.This is what i dd: i went into my BIOS CDs foler in aid and extracted the 512k.x2.5035 and burned it...went into my smartxx chip menu and selected flash using cd but nothing is showing inside the cd eventhough i burned it....am i burning the wrong file?

ok before i was trying to flash it through my chip but now im trying to flash through aid and i tried the 512.5035 but t gave me asize error so im trying to flash through 256 x2.4981.67 fc and it asks me to press y to flash but when i do it says erqasing but nothing happens...it just stays on that screen.

not that i can tell but, it was previously flashed with a evox 256k i belive.

also if your wondering why i want to change bios its because im trying to partition my hd since its a 320 and xpartitioner gives a msg that it wont work with my bios. i have my chipped box with smartxx v3 as well but i cant recall which version of the x2 bios i have to be able to flash my new xbox...

I know when I was trying to flash my HyperX chip a few years back I could not get it to work with a cd flash method. I ended up http flashing the chip and also http flashed my X3 CE. If at all possible try to flash it through http. _________________

Ok my work around on flashing the bios... I'm using the aid disk and copying the bios from the aid bios folder and flashing the chip from the hd through the chip menu... The issue right now is that I can't get the chip to take a 512k 5035 or the x3 3294 bios. Is there a way to program the chip to take a bigger bios because on my other xbox it's taking a 512k without a problem and I'm using the same chip.
