Ugh! Here's the deal... XBOX modded with x2 chip, running evox, XBMC stopped loading, would just hang on Loading... So I deleted XBMC though ftp, and transferred latest version... Still won't load.. tried multiple times, different locations.. nada. Even tried making an ISO of XBMC, burning it to DVDR running it from there... nothin... then tried copying it from the DVD to the F drive on the XBOX... copied fine... will it run... no.
Found out about AID and thought... f' it... I'll just use that to format the drive and start over from scratch... easier said than done. after multiple DVD-R, DVD+R, various media brands, burning speeds, burning softwares... It will not boot to AID! As far as I get is a splash screen up for a couple seconds... then either nothing... or if I run the default.xbe off the disk using X-Commander... goes back to evox dash. Even tried extracting the ISO on my PC and the files to XBOX Apps folder and boot to both through the evox dash, and X-Commander.... same thing...
Games, emus, and other apps work fine... WTF... seriously.... WTF?!
Any ideas? I think I have tried everything possible aside from dropping a new HD in there...
Thanks

Well... I had an old modded XBOX that was dying and decided to swap the harddrives last night... then tried AID with the other harddrive installed... same thing! Even tried loading XBMC that was already installed and working on that old harddrive... still hung at Loading... so it must be the box...
Now I have tried EVERYTHING! Could a bad modchip cause this??
Any help would be great!

Could be a bad chip, or the chip is looking for the dash in the wrong place, what BIOS you running?

Trying not to create a dupe post, so here it is:
I'm having much the same issue, I can't boot the AID disc, but it did run from the dashboard b4 I wiped my drive.
I think my drive may be bad too, but what can I do to boot from aid?

Just an update that may help others:
Never did get the box to boot from the AID disc, but I put in a new hd, formated it via X3's menus, then copied AID using unleashX's copy program and ran it from the menus.

glad to hear you got it sorted Tymanthius,
Yeh when AIDeluxe doesnt boot it can only be a few things.
1. Your Xbox Softmod isn't installed
2. Your Xbox Modchip Bios needs to be flashed OR is broken!
3. Your DVDROM drive does NOT read the brand of media you burned AIDeluxe onto. (try another brand)
To check which brand of media will work with your Xbox 1 DVDROM drive view our Xbox DVD/CD Compatibility Database from the link below.
