Hi I need some serious help with Softmoding my Xbox I have read a few websites and what they tell me to do but it seems a little complicated So what I am is asking what is the easiest way to SoftMod my Xbox and what will I need to do the job can anyone please help me.

Hi there Sinner,
Well basically what you will need to softmod is the following:
- A explotable game (eg. Splinter Cell, Mech Assault)
- A Xbox Memory Card
- Action Replay or Similar (to transfer the softmod to the memory card from your pc).
- Auto Installer Deluxe or Softmod Installer Deluxe ( http://aid.xbox-hq.com / http://aideluxe.com )
Once you have that check out the auto installer deluxe official wiki for more info on how to use the softmod installer ( http://aideluxe.com/index.php?title=Softmod_Installer_Deluxe ).. Ofcourse we can help you further.. just let me know if you understand that so far.. Hopefully some of the other guys will jump in and help you out.. I'm more into xbox 360 these days..

Ok I actually own the first SPlinter Cell they released for Xbox and I do have the memory card and cord that came with it from action replay but back when I was using XP for a OS the darn thing didn't want to transfer my codes from PC to Memory card is there another way around that to put gae saves on my Xbox other then that I will do just what you said to do

Hi Sinner777,
Personally i have loads of modchipped xboxes and have never really needed to use the Action replay since i just use a modded box to transfer stuff over..
It might be a good idea to start a new topic and ask if there are any newer or alternate ways to transfer if no one replies to this.
Once you get the SID files onto the memory card your set.
Its just a matter of booting the game and loading the gamesave named "LINUX" (i think) which is on the memory card.. From there you SID will boot on your xbox and you can install stuff and backup..
Just make sure since your softmodding that you backup everything and once you get access to the xbox via Ftp to backup your eeprom and everything to you PC..
hope ive been some help, i dont have as much time as i use to these days but i still somehow manage to get on the HQ's..
just thought I would add make sure your exploitable game is an original version not one of the platinum hits versions I cant tell how frustrating that can be if you dont know about it. lol good luck
