hi im softmoding my xbox using sid4 and i had to install the new dashboard so i connected the xbox to my computer and the ftp client will not connect, any help?

Hello,

Are your IP addresses in the same range ?

Set your PC IP to 192.168.0.1
Set the xbox IP to 192.168.0.2

Post back if you are unsure of things.

What OS are you using ?

For Windows7 click on start then Control Panel then on Network and sharing centre ,then on the left, click on change adapter settings
From there select your Network Adapter, when the new window opens double click on Internet protocol version 4 (TCP/IP) then click on the Use the following IP Address button and fill it in with the IP address of your choice.


If those details are already filled in, it may be wise to note down what they are before changing anything.

* You need a Crossover cable to connect your console to your PC for this to work.



Are you trying to change your Dashboard on the xbox ? .... Download AID from here : http://aidtracker.com/ .... you can easily change your dashboard with it, its full of usefull apps and programs for the xbox.
