Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knows a way for me to format a new HDD in my original xbox without having the Joystick remote that came with it?
I have the DVD remote and have been using it for years with XBMC, and dont have a clue where the joypad is. My hdd gave up this week so I just put anotherone in. Then I started to setup the new drive but landed on a brick wall because I cant press the two buttons on the back + "start" like AID promts me to do at the begginning with only the dvd remote. EVOX wont let me format either, I can do ewerything else with only the DVD remote.
Doeas anyone know if it's possible to edit the AID program to let me format withaout pressing these 3 buttons at once, and just use SELECT on my dvd remote or something like that? Cant believe I have to buy a whole remote just to press these buttons one time ... I'm a bit frustrated after 4 hours of trying to install the dashboard.

You'll want to shoot a pm over to a guy named DJB. He is the man that created AID and would be able to tell you how to change button layouts if its possible. _________________
