While repairing the RROD on this console, it occured to me that the X-brace and 8 black screw area on the bottom of the chassis was no longer useful for anything. I cut it out with a dremel! This should allow more cooling as in the penny trick etc. Has anyone else ever seen this? It's working well so far.
