The original Dash was deleted when i bought the xbox. i installed the one called ms-dash-mik3h.rar. Supposed to be the original MS Dash 5960.
Xbox works fine. I access the ms dash when booting with no disk. All looks fine to me. I can play games, i have megaman collection and splinter cell. I can save games, load them. Xbox seems perfect.
However when i try to load SID 4 or SID 5.1 i get error 21.
I followed the instructions and copied both files to Hdd with mem card. When i try to load linux profile and select checkpoint in SC, screen flashes and go to error 21.
From what i read its likely because there's something wrong with my original dashboard files. Could be that the MS DASH i installed is not right in some way? Even though the console seems fine for normal use ?
But i also remember... When i was doing the hotswap and browsing the xbox hdd from my pc, there were files in one of the partition. Part 1 or 2 if i remember. Files that looked like craps from previous user's failed softmod. There is also another partition with a folder in it.part 4 and i believe its for xbox saved games. I did not delete any files. There was nothing in part 3 so i just copied MS DASH in there then closed xplorer360 and put xbox back together. Could these crap files be the problem ? Would deleting everything and just keep the MS dash Files in C: be a good idea ?
At this point i dont want to push my luck by doing random moves. I havent been able to backup my eeprom yet. Was counting on SID for that.

Have you tried burning a UnleashX boot disk and running it?
Sounds like its already modded, if it doesn't work try pirrups ms dash and start again.
