This has been quite a learning experience. Ans Wes has been so very helpful.

This question I am sure has been asked many times but I can not find it searching.

I now have XBMC working on a softmoded box connect to a windows 7 pc via wired network through a uverse router. I can see the xbox with fillezilla and have the xbox set to DHCP. All my files are located on Drive L and I have that shared.

How do I setup XBMC to read these files

Thank Wes one problem with SMB under windows 7 it does not work. I found a solution over at XBMC

Looks like Live assistant screws it up uninstall live assistant and all is good.

I think i was using the UpNp set up but if you got the SMB share working then good deal, so from all the pain the xbox can give you i got to ask...what do you think about all this crap so far? lol
