my old v1.0 xbox motherboard broke so i just got a new motherboard its a v1.1 and i swapped my hdd and mod chip into it but it wont load up. it gives me error 05 and the chip is green but the system lights are flashing green and orange. it wont let me boot to anything without hooking the dvdrom up even thought its broken and my last box i had no dvd at all and it worked over 6 years fine. please how do i get my hdd and mod chip to work in this new working motherboard it shouldnt be so hard right?

The error 5 is from an unlocked HDD and you would only get that if the chip is not working right, might want to check the solder points and most of all the DO point.

What chip are you running?
