Having a slight booting problem with my xbox, cant seem to deduce the problem, but this is what happens. The system starts up, the fan spins, it blinks green, then shuts off, boots up the same way 2 more times like that, then it starts flashing amber and red. If it were a video problem shouldnt it just boot right to amber and red? I had another system that did that when the av cables were not properly connected, This one seems to be different. Never seen it try to start up like this, as when it does it, it starts the hard drive as well and cuts all power.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This can happen if you splash solder on the mobo so my guess is that a Major part has failed or you have a short some ware in the mobo.

Sounds like exactly what I had happen to a board about a month ago, it tries to start twice...on mine it was the nvidia chip on the front left corner of the board that fried, got hot enough to burn it. Sorry to say your box is probably fragged.

Yeah, looked inside, and it looks fine, starts up blinks green, shuts off, goes green, shuts off then it goes green HDD starts up fan starts spinning then goes amber/red.
Looks like this one is dead, but I do want to try and do some case mods, so it's all good.
I appreciate all the help that you all have given. At least i fixed one xbox out of the two lol.

yup, keep it for spares.. And make a casemod out of it..
I have like 15 xbox 1's lying around the place these days.. its hilarious..
