Hi All,

I'm new to this, so bear with me.

I softmodded my xbox ages ago and installed xbmc. All was well.

A few months back I decided to update xbmc and downloaded the installer disc.

Anyway, I've screwed the whole thing up. I may have formatted all the drives on my xbox.

Now when I start it up I get a simple screen that gives me only two options. 'Launch disc' and 'system settings'.

In order to start xbmc, I have to stick the installer disk back in, scroll down to advanced options and click boot from dashboard on e:.

How do I sort it out?. The simple screen with launch disc and system settings has 'EvolutionX 3935' at the bottom right, if that helps.

Pop in XBMCID and do the softmod one click install to E.

Thanks Wes,

I have the delux installer disc.
Selected one click softmod. It gave me lots of options. I picked without virtual c.
After installing, I still ended up with the simple 'launch disc/system settings' screen.

I hate that screen so much.

What next to try?

Could try installing some other dash as an APP and launch it, use its file manager to update the XBMC dash.
