ok, im new to all this, and just want to get something strait. If i have my modded xbox with new hdd and all that good stuff, and I want to play xbox live still(with modchip off) does that mean i have LOCK my hdd, or have it UNLOCKED, to have it be able to boot to m$ dash and not get banned?

to play on xbox live with a modded xbox u have to boot from oryginal bios ,
boot msdash , have your harddrive locked and play oryginal games ,
and also all your stuff , like apps ,games and evox should be installed in your f or g partiition
