I just got a Western Digital WD2000BB-00DAA3 200 gb harddrive.I'm going to use Xboxhdm and i just wanted to know if there is anything else i need to do like clusters, before trying it?Thank you.
Edit: I cant figure out how to get to my eeprom.

At only 200 GB you dont need to think about clusters, as for the eeprom you will need a reader or you need to softmod / chip the xbox to get that.

I got everything i needed and i was ready to to use xboxhdm. I opened my computer, took the connections out of the harddrive and plugged them into the harddrive i was going to use. I pushed the power button and nothing happened. I think i may have accidently disconnected a power cord, but i can't find out where it goes.I have an hp pavilion xg833 runnig Windows ME.
BTW, the computer i opened up is not the one i am typing on.

I tried using chimp since my computer is out of commission, but i could not get the telnet thing to work. It wouldn't connect to the xbox. And yes, i have a 1.6 xbox. Nothing ever works right for me. I think I'm cursed.

Chimp is the easiest solution for softmods, if only you had modchip you could skip all this bullshit and just use AID to format your hdd for you. _________________ HQ Network:

I've decided to give up on XboxHDM. I'm trying to use chimp and so far everything is going good except that i cannot telnet to xbox. i type in "telnet 192.168.0.3" It says :
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner>telnet 192.168.0.3
Connecting To 192.168.0.3...Could not open connection to the host, on port 23: Connect failed
And yes, i do have a 1.6 xbox. Please help me. I'm starting to get frustrated.

I got it! I'm so happy i could cry. I'm sorry if i sounded mad towards you guys. It's just that all my family was mad at me and i was mad at the computer and at myself.
