ok so i've got my xbox modded and am transferring files to my xbox using FlashXP to my EvoX dashboard. I have an X2.6 chip in as well. but i cannot transfer the files to my f: drive???? everytime i try to transfer a file there it says that it cannot transfer the file. i think it is because the hdd is locked. hoe can i unlock the harddrive >>>>/? _________________ _______________________________________

there could me a few things wrong with ur box ,
what size is your harddrive ?
what bios are you using ?
what partitions are available to you and how much space on each partition?
if u have bios that dont support f:\ or g:\ then u cannot ftp to those partitions
if you have the orygiinal harddrive , then you can only transfer 1 or 2 games max onto ur E partition ,
i have never had to manually unlock any harddrive to be able to ftp files to it ,
its most likely the bios or the network or ftp setup

update.
basically i swapped the hard drive for one that was already unlocked and now i need to lock the drive if i want to go on LIVE.
I have the standard hard drive of around 8gigs, with acces to f:, E: and c: but not G:, i think i am using the latest bios for the x2 chip, can't remember which one the guy put on, probably Flash Bios. I used to have the X3 bios (for my x3 chip) where u could unlock/lock the drive by going straight into the bios menu by holding the white key, but this one it goes str8 into the evo-x dashboard and the option of unlocking the hard drive is not there in the bios, evo-x or avalaunch. I cant even go into the bios ne more. if i could only find sum sort of software that allows me to change the security of the hdd that would be kool, or if i could get the x3 bios (8???) or another bios that allows me to change these settings. Only problem with the x3 bios is that it needs to be flashed with 1024k and i have a x2.6.
also i was thinking of getting configmagic so i can play xbox live imports but don't know how to install it. I burned an iso onto a disk but there doesn't seem to be an executable file (.xbe) on the drive. How can i get configmagic to work??? _________________ _______________________________________

firs of all u can not use x3 bioses on anything except x3 chips
ur g partition will only be available if you use bios that end with .67
u should only use those bios if you have a really big drive , its not gonna help you in any way on you stock harddrive ,
you can lock / unlock your harddrive from the installers menu when using slayers 2.6 installer , i havent used xbox-hq installer so i dont know if they have that option

The HQ installer does allow you to lock and unlock your HD..feel free to download and use it to lock your HD ...then you will be able to jump on XBL..
