I don't think I patched it. I guess I missed a step in the manual?

Speaking about replacing my dvd drive. It may be cheaper for me to source out a 2nd hand xbox. However with different brand dvd drives will i have compatibility issues?

Just a quick question, are you patching the xbe file before you are burning the new iso?

There is no need to patch an xbox game bro.

No man all xbox 1 disk drives will work (plug and play) with all xbox 1s, at 40 bucks an xbox here it is cheaper to get a new xbox then a new disk drive.

You would have more spare parts to work with.

$50 for a new DVD drive vs $50 for a used xbox with DVD drive.

Whats wrong with it after all? And which one is it?

95% of the DVD drives of xbox are fixed by... cleaning the leens

ha . . . I like the 3rd item needed for tools: patience.

This is certainly a delicate and time consuming task. I'll have to wait till I have some time.

I am not sure if this will work in my situation, but it worth a try. No where does the thread indicate an error code, which is what I got. I believe it was code 11, but don't quote me on it.

error 11 tells you the xbox cant see the HDD at all so if the xbox is no longer showing the error 11 then you are ok on that end.

Not reading a disk is not related to the error 11.

I have tried using a CD/DVD cleaner but to no avail. Will try opening the xbox and cleaning the lens. If that doesn't work it is cheaper for me to buy a 2nd hand xbox from a store rather than sourcing out another dvd drive. (i live in australia)
