ok so i was thinking,and i know someone has atleast thought and im sure tried it..
can a xbox dvd drive be put in my pc,and games ripped to iso,right too my computer from the xbox drive installed on my computer??since xbox drives are the only one capable of reading xbox disk..could you not in therory install trhe drive on your pc and run it with a xbox type emulator could you have a hdd /partitioned witha xbox bio to run it or something tell me how crazy i am... _________________ if you dont have what you want,,mod what you got!!

Cant do that but you can use Quicks ftp to backup a game in your xbox disk drive to the PC, damn near the same thing.

or if you want a drive for your pc you could flash a Samsund SH-D162c DVD Rom with Kreon firmware and that`ll allow you to read/copy (not play) xbox games. _________________

ooh tell me more please. that is basically what i was asking..so if i flash this drive with said firmware then i can install it in my pc and be able to skip all the ftp'ing, all together as far as being able to back up my games??

Get a Samsung SH-D162c DVD Rom drive (the 162c is an IDE drive, i think theres a 162d which is SATA, not that it matters, either one will work)
Download Kreons firmware, this comes with SFDNWIN.exe <- thats the samsung flash utility.
Hook the drive up to your pc and run the flash utility, it`ll also flash it through USB if you have some kind of external caddy for the drive.
Stick your (legally owned) xbox game into the drive and use xbox backup creator v2.6 to read/backup your game.
Theres also a Samsung SD-616t IDE DVD Rom drive that can be flashed with the firmware from a xbox samsung sd 605b drive that you can use in your PC. _________________

162 is an IDE hook up and 163 is a sata hook up.
Yeah it will work for xbox 1 and xbox 360.

well ordered my drive from kreon..thanks again..already got xbox creator v2.9 installed and ready to go..i am so mad its always a day late and a dollar short for me..my son just totally screwed the game i just started that was taking resident evil5 place ...prey,,damnit it is totolay done.. _________________ if you dont have what you want,,mod what you got!!
