Do you support Bit Torrent, and would you consider helping by seeding this Auto-Installer?

Oh man oh man what a set up this is going to be. I can't wait! If nothing else, perhaps this would be a real good way to start 2005? I must admit, if it came out sooner..... I wouldn't mind that either. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

OK, here's the situation:
I am allowing only one more week for the final bits of this package, if it's not ready by then I'll release it as is (which is basically 99% complete).
The Auto-Installer will work fully with no bugs or nothing missing.
Also, there will be a 28 page document included with this to help you all out, and hopefully cut down the need for so many questions (hehe).
Not long now people...

Yup Cant Wait DJB!
We need to release via bittorrent first boys and girls so we can get help from all our members and get it seeded.. Once its seed by 5 or more people you will get massive speeds.
It will be added to the VIP DOWNLOADS section on the 25th of december, 2004.. If you cant wait until then you will have to get the bittorrent link which DJB or I will soon release.
talk soon guys,
Keep up the great work DJB! I only wish you had more time (like i wish i have more time too)

Sounds good to me Forahobby. Sjohn and myself were actually discussing this too today along the same lines.
OK, here's some more good news:
Since I put in the new version of UnleashX, I now have music in the AI Menu !!
Man this rocks, I just stood there in amazement while I checked to see if the music looped properly.
I feel so happy about getting this new version b4 release, as it's given me the chance to use music, where the previous version was still buggy. I can even keep all the ambience sounds etc when there's a formatted / virgin hdd in there
This is gonna blow some minds, lol...

It should support all modchips, and the MS dash should support all versions 1.0-1.6.
About seeders, I will make another forum thread where ppl can submit their interest to do so. The main requirement is you must be a VIP member. From that information I'll mass-email the interested ppl when it's ready.
This seems to be the best system I can think of atm, but the main thing we want is to have a strong Bit Torrent seeding base, as our bandwidth will not be able to cope with hundreds of downloads of this, as we are probably looking at around 500mb compressed.
Anyways, I'll go and set up that thread now...

No you don't have to delete your games. Just because the format options are available it doesn't mean you have to use them
One nice little thing about thie new AI (since I'm using UnleashX) is that there is a built-in File Manager which would easily just let you delete files instead of wiping the whole drive.
If you're Xbox OS (you mean the Xbox Dash?) isn't working just format your C drive and re-install your dashboards.
BTW, new UnleashX came out with a few extra bugfixes, so I'll implement that this morning...

I can see why you are so proud of it.
When I say my Xbox OS.. i mean the actual original OS seems corrupted, if i start without the chip on it takes ages to load then comes up with a black screen with a bunch of green writting about getting ti repaired. Not really too much of an issue as i rarely use it.. but I might like to go live one day.
Oh and another question while im here... will the DVD player be compatible with the DVD remote dongle?

DON'T GO LIVE WITH A MODDED XBOX!!!
If you want to be banned from Xbox Live go ahread, but apart from that try the alternatives like Xbox Connect and XLink.
M$ are getting more tricky now with detections, so I wouldn't go onto Xbox Live wihout a stock-standard non-modded Xbox (not even a softmod).
About your question with the remote, I've included the new Team Gueux version of DVD-X, which apparently allows for DVD remotes. This won't be installed as default though so you'll have to manually install it using the AI...
In conclusion, yes I am damn proud of this!!
