is there anything useful i can do with an unmodded xbox that has no dvd-rom? its been layin around for a while and i was wondering if it could be put to use. im not sure what version it is but i do know that it works perfectly with its stock dvd drive, but i used that for something else a long time ago. you know how expensive new drives are for an xbox. might as well buy a new xbox on ebay for $60. i would have to hard mod it if i wanted to put a new dvd drive in right? the old one was a phillips.

You can just pop a disk drive in from any XBOX and it will work.
or you could chip it and FTP any content to it you wanted to use.

If you chip the box you dont need a DVDROM drive really.. I was working on a project for my car when i wanted to remove the dvdrom drive so i could have xbmc in my car and loved the idea of no DVDROM lol..
I never did get back to that now i come to think of it... hahaha typical.
