Hi,
I was installing XBMC and a couple emulators on my xbox i recently softmodded.
After installing XBMC everything worked fine after rebooting, then I installed one EMU and now it won't boot into the the softmodded dash just the first loading screen and it hangs there, it does boot into the MS dash, ( I used the dual boot install).
I also can't connect via FTP as well now, I did try and run the Mechassault linux selection as the original install files are still on the HD but it just reboots the game itself.
Any way I can save this?

Get AID if you don't already have it and see if you can still boot that. _________________

Got it, it won't boot but it could be the media I used to burn it to (HP DVD-R Lightscribe), won't boot on my other (working softmodded xbox) as well and it has no issues.
I'll go out and pick up another brand of DVD-R. If it boots with AID can I just run that to reinstall everything?

Well it's not my media, I have a Slayers Evox Autoinstaller disc burned to the same media and it boots fine on both consoles. I can get in FTP with the Slayers disc running, would it be bad to use the Slayers disc to reinstall app and emu's?
Edit: I was able to remove the EMU I installed and now it's working like it was prior to me adding it.
Not sure what I did, I just FTP'd one of the same EMU's from the other xbox that I had backed up on my PC. Guess I should D/L a fresh copy and go from there maybe?

I am burning it as the instructions state with dvddecrypter but I have had no success, I have had no problem burning with Nero, Think it would make any difference?

the only advice i can give you is to make sure and burn your iso at the slowest burning speed 1 or 2x is preferrable.
