Yo! I've got xbox #5 lined up here and ready to go with a Seagate 750 GB drive. Is there a tut somewhere that can help me install this bad boy? I've read bits and pieces on this forum and *others* but nothing seems quite solid for my circumstance. This is me so far:

Version 1.0
Xecuter 3
X3 3294 bios
AID 4.40 (with newest Xpartition)
Sabrent SATA adaptor

The adaptor worked fine, AID worked fine, and Xpartioiner divided the F & G partitions evenly (about 365 GB's a piece), and I was able to format to 32k clusters. When I rebooted however FlashXP did not see the G drive, and neither did the Xecutor bios. I then changed the LBA 48 mode from "F get everything - no G drive" to " F drive up to 137 Gb - G drive gets the rest". This gave me too much on my G drive though as I believe 512 GB is the maximum I can have per partition.

My guess is that I need a different bios, but all I could find so far about installing a 750 GB drive was based on softmods so I'm not sure about this.

I'm happy to read through more threads or read a tut if there is one, any help is appreciated.

By the way, xbox #4 is now running XBMC with Xtv with Hackintosh intro video. Just braggin'.

Nope, the max per partition is not 500 GB because the cluster size will change. Set the bios at F up to 137 gb, G to rest and reformat the drive. It should work fine this time.

OK, sounds simple. I've just formatted it as darth instructed, and I'm loading it up now. I will report back, thanks...!

Also make sure that you have both the F:\ and the G:\ turned on in the settings of the dashboard your using.

Sorry for the delay in my update, here's the low-down:

I partitioned F to 137 and G for the rest (520 GB at 64 KB clusters). I then loaded G with about 400 GB of data with no problems. Then I loaded F with about 50 GB with no problems. I launched Avaluanch and enabled the G drive but it still wouldn't list any of my games that were on G. Wierd. However, Anod X, Unleash X and XBMC both had no problems. I've been playing games and music for a few days without any issues so far. I don't care about Avalaunch not working because I'm gonna run XBMC as the main dash anyway.

Here are some stat's if anyone is interested:

Xbox version 1.4
Xecuter 3
Seagate ST3750330AS
SABRENT SBT-STDB IDE Ultra ATA-100/133 to SATA Port Mini Converter
AID 4.40
The dash's mentioned above were all installed from AID.

Thanks for the help, I'm glad I didn't run into any of the many issues I had been reading about in other threads...!
