Well, I put it in the Apps folder on the F drive and it shows the T3CH logo for a second and then just goes black. Hmm...
Not sure why this is not working correctly. Any ideas?

OK, I erased the F/Apps/XBMC andI put it in E/Apps and it boots to the new dash now, but it still doesn't have the tab for Xlink Kai. I installed this dash from the readme file - XBMC SVN 2008-11-13 (13th of November 2008) rev16144 ATLANTIS *FINAL*
This is super frustrating when something just won't work. Are you sure Xlink is in there? I believe my Xlink settings are correct too.

ok.. So obviously your trying to use XLINK KAI right??
1. Download XLINK Software for your PC:
- Make sure you have the XLINK KAI SOFTWARE install onto a pc on your network..
2. You need to have a username and password for xlnk..
Its free and easy to signup so go and do it if you havent already on the official website above.
3. Once you have that installed you need to conifgure your XBOX to use XLINK..
Open XBOX MEDIA CENTER and go into your SYSTEM SETTINGS (preferences) and choose 'PROGRAMS'.. Once you open that page you can enter all your xlink information.
4. Enter XBOX Xlink info
On the programs page (under system settings) fill our the form with your XLINK USERNAME and XLINK PASSWORD.. You also have to tell XBOX MEDIA CENTER what pc is running the XLINK PC software..
eg. 192.168.0.1 (ip address).. Thats the ip address of my computer which runs XLINK!
5. Thats about it.. Reboot your xbox once you have filled in all the xlink kai options and now you should be able to browse rooms etc etc.
If you are running a router you will need to open additional ports to play!
Your nearly there.
FORWARD PORTS ON YOUR ROUTER FOR XLINK/XBC:
1. Open a web browser and enter your routers ip address
eg. http://192.168.0.100
2. Login using your admin username and password
3. Click on the 'Applications & Gaming' tab or 'Security Tab' depending on what brand of router you have.
4. Click on 'Port Range Forwarding' or 'Port Forwarding' depending on your model/make of router
5. Now below i will list the following ports you need to forward..
You need to forward the ports to your pc which is running the XLINK or XBC tunnelling software.. In my example the PC which runs XLINK/XBC is 192.168.0.1
Ill list the ports i have forwarded and XLINK works like a charm.
I play online just about every night..
XLINK PORTS FOR YOUR ROUTER:
APPLICATION: XBC (XBCONNECT)
START: 8602
END: 8602
PROTOCOL: BOTH
IP ADDRESS: 192.168.0.1 (PC RUNNING XBC TUNNEL CLIENT)
6.Dont forget to restart your router by switching it off for a few seconds too.. Ive noticed with some firmware it wont open the ports until the next reboot..
Thats it.. You should now be able to play online!

Ok bro see if this helps at all, Xlink Kai Settings under My Programs Settings in XBMC and put in your info.
Xlink kai will not show up till you are running it on your PC and your xbox can detect it, if you need any more info look here: http://xbmc.org/wiki/index.php?title=Xlink_Kai
See if that helps and if it dont i will make a youtube video or something.

Darth,
So what you are suggesting is that I keep the XBMC/SVC Build dash as my "Default" Dash and set up my "Quick" Launch Button with "?" Dash.....
and then where do I obtain Xlink Kai?
The way I do it is use unleashx, then run the xlink program on my computer. I don't know if you have to run it from your computer if your using XBMC though. _________________

Yes you need to run it on the PC for XBMC unless you run ddrt or thibor firmware on your router then you can run the kai engine off the router.

I had the Xlink program running on my PC and all the ports forwarded before I tried it the first time. That was all easy. The Xlink tab is just not there in either of the dashboards that I've used. I followed the instructions here and from XBMC, but it's just not there. The pictures shows that there should be a third tab in the program settings with Xlink. I only have the two above it shown. I can FTP and ping the Xbox just fine, so I am sure everything is set up correctly. I don't think Xlink is in this 11-08 T3CH build.
I do have a WRT54G router v5.1, but it's one of the neutered versions with only 8MB RAM, so flashing with DDRT will likely brick it.
*update* I booted the T3CH dash and went to program settings with Xlink running on my desktop. In MC360, the programs tab says that you can configure Kai settings in there but when I click into it, only the general and info tabs are present. Xlink settings should be there for configuration regardless if the program is running on the PC. How else would you tell it where to look for connection?

I grabed this one "T3CH XBMC 2008-11-13 8.10 PROPER build from T3CH", Ithought I should have grabed an older Build from -XBMC SVN Build Archive: rev 14095 (2008-07-15) this would be the closest to the oldest I could find, was just waitng for you suggestion while I was waiting I had to repave my Windows XP so I was unable to get back to you guy's - you might read about it in PC-Hq.com a little bit later?
I will get back when I check out if this Build is Proper or far enough back to connect to Xlink Kai. _________________ Support A Hard Modder!
