Are there any precautions when updating to the lasted build using this method? Is it necessary to backup scripts & plug-ins?
Sorry if it's a newb question. I just don't want any of my add-ons and preferences getting overwritten.

Make sure you back up your userdata folder and your scripts folder to your PC so that when you update you can just FTP the old userdata and scripts to the new build.

just easier to make a complete backup just encase, the same as if you were to update your computer really. _________________
