Gahh. Well now im satisfied with my xbox! Big HDD, all apps, all emus and roms and even 20+ games currently installed to the HDD! Very Happy

Problem. For some reason, one day my xbox keeps reseting the FTP Server after 10 Seconds. Its annoying! I used FTPS such as: Craxtion 4.0, FlashFXP, SmartFTP, Core FTP, File Zilla and i even got desperate and used the File Browser typed in with...

Code:

ftp://xbox:xbox192.168.1.76

All have failed. Its not my computer or internet its my XBOX! I finally got my main as XBMC, unchipped, softmodded. I dont know what to do no more.. Anyone know why this is happening? Im pretty sure it isnt my internet or cables, cmon ive added 20+ Disks!

EDIT:
WOOOHOOOO! I didnt know but my dad had a USB 2.0 DVD RW Dual Layered burner! So i can just burn on a DVD RW now! Even though, i still have to get a compatible DVD RW and for the mean time, ill use FTP if i can fix it.

What are you trying to FTP, if the file name is to long or has illegal characters it will time out with an error ( i think 505)?

Shouldnt be too long of a character. Its an XBOX game, pretty much similar to downloading it from a dic to a HD. None of the names are too long or unrecognizable characters. Even if thats the case, i tested this out myself by uploading 10B, 10KB, 10MB, and one 1GB all named No longer than 5 characters. All failed.

If you are wondering im uploading all xbox games by the name of:
Code:

RollerCoaster Tycoon
Army Men: Major Malfunction
25 To Life
Sid Meiers Pirates: Live the Life
Knights Of The Temple
Voodoo Vince
Return To Castle Wolfenstein

I have a 120GB harddrive, and i only used up 30GB at the moment, i stopped downloading until i can get this problem fixed.

Well XBMC doesnt have Boost Mode in the Settings, so i check UnleashX and it turns out that Boost Mode is enabled. Ill disable it and report the results in a day or two for confirmation.

Also make sure port 21 is open on your router (port 21 is the default port for an ftp program).

I never personally had to open any ports on mine, and it may not help you either, its just an idea.

try going to e:\cache and deleting the contents using file explorer then reboot. or get the latest xbmc and copy the filezilla.xml (i think) to where you keep ur dashboard. just a suggestion.
