i have yet to mod my xbox (most likely b by saturday at this point in time) but i'm planning on what i want on my xbox n i've looked a few places for help n cant find a thing so i'm asking all you guys. here it is................
is their a way to play videos from hulu on your modded xbox? like say a xbmc plugin or script like whats for youtube? rilly hopping it can b done at this point in time but if it cant i'll just have to wait till the community figures it out.

Nope, i think it was almost a year since i last got this question and things have not changed since then.
I think there is an app that will allow you to stream hulu from your pc to your xbox but its not free.

Damn i thought not. i know their is a program i heard about from i think tekzilla that allows you to do it with your xbox 360 but not your first gen.

Yes, Firefox is on the xdsl distro ...... If you fancy having a go at installing it I recommend using an original xbox controller, not a third party one - you need this to operate the onscreen keyboard (or alternatively use a USB keyboard & mouse). _________________

i'll install it right now n take it for a test drive with both the controller n i have a usb keyboard that works with it. i'll tell u what i think. o btw any chance u know ware i can find instructions on turning a ps2 mouse into a usb 1?

i got xdsl installed but since my tv over scans i cant see all of the desktop, in other programs i can adjust for it. is their a way i can do it in xdsl?
Unfortunately you might be stuck with it like that (xdsl has some problems with the video chip in 1.6 consoles) - I`m not sure if this will help, but when Xdsl boots i think theres an option present for you to change the screen resolution.
You could try one of those little green ps2 to usb converter things for your mouse, but to be honest i dont think you`ll have much success. you need a proper usb mouse.
If xdsl wont boot to your required resoloution theres plenty more xbox compatible linux distros out there, try xubuntu (based on ubuntu so theres a good chance if a problem crops up someone will have already solved it) :
