Its not a problem, a softmod will work on all versions. If you were installing a chip you would have a little extra work rebuilding the LPC bus. _________________

When installing a chip its connected with a pin header to the motherboard, this pin header is soldered into the LPC interface, In an attempt to stop modchip installations microsoft disabled some of the features of the LPC interface on version 1.6 mobo`s - so if you intend to chip a 1.6 you need a few extra wires soldered to various other parts of the motherboard.
Google `xbox lpc rebuild` for more info.
