Why do some controllers not work like others while playing some games?
The game at hand is Halo 2. I have a few controllers that no matter what options you change in configurations, everything is opposite. To try and make more sense I'll explain a little.
I have two cntrls that I use all the time to play Halo2 and they work great for the default Halo controller settings. Up goes up down, down, left looks left, and so on. However, I have an actual Halo controller that came with my Halo Xbox and it doesn't work right with it. I've disabled the look inversion and tried all four settings and none of them will set it to where it's playable for me. A few of my other controllers that do the same thing.
Anyone else have this problem before? Did you get it fixed? _________________

Is this for xbox or pc?? is the controller wireless or wired?
No offense man, but this is the XBOX forum after all. It is XBOX I'm using with a wire. _________________

As I said SIK, The controllers all work fine for other games and it's not just one controller having the problem. It's almost like some controllers weren't made for Halo. Unfortunately, one of them is a clear green Halo 2 controller. _________________

I will give that a try, but I'm almost 99% sure it won't work. It's not the settings causing the problem. I can start the game using the crazy controller and then just plug in the good controller and it works fine. If it were the settings, then I would have to change them back for the good controllers that work. See what I'm saying?
This use to happen with my buddy's xbox and we just had to switch controllers until we found one that worked. It really seems to be Halo and not the cotrollers. _________________

I will give it a try. I think I have already, but just to make sure, I'll try again. _________________

maybe u jus have an f'd halo disc, try using a diff. disc.
The disc has nothing to do with the controller not working. It happens even with my other softmodded XBOX with Halo 2 on the HDD. Thanks for all he possible solutions guys. Keep'em coming. _________________
