Ok To clear up some issues I know what im doing most of the time. I have modded my 1.5 xbox with a solderless 2.5 xexcuter mod chip with xexcuter 2 installed and have many games on my hard drive of 120 GB. I just bought 2 new games and would like to save them on my hard drive so I can play them with out having to dmg the disks anymore than they are (EBGames used disks with some ware and tear but they work in the drives no problem) I have tryed FTP ing into the xbox and copying the files onto my pc to form and iso and then use quix 1.1 liek i always do with iso's i have back into my F directory on my xbox. I have the disk in my xbox and can see the files but half-way through the transfer the link goes dead. I check the xbox and it has not frozen like some programs cause it to. I still have connection to the xbox as i can abort the transfer and upload movies and music to it (i have an MP3 file i use to check for connectivity it transfers just fine) If i start the transfer again roughly at 52% it stops again and again and again. Please help I am a computer programmer so i know how to creat the iso and upload them back to the xbox but this just stumps me I cant get the files to finnish so i can create the iso. I am truly lost.

one word, DVD2XBOX...this is your best bet and comes on the HQ Auto Installer.
You can also download just the app itself somewhere.

ok i have downloaded and installed a working copy of the program which you mentioned above. I am still having the issue the program copies the whole disk to my hard drive then goes back to the files it has trouble with. Please note this is the same file that used to stop my ftp process which i have used for years. Of the 2 games i have gotten none so i tryed another one thinking it might be the disks and it goes in fine. I have checked my disks for issues and one is a little scratched but the other one is in perfect condition no scratched what so ever. So is this anti-copy code or a glitch in the program? Im using 7_8 should i roll back to 7_7 or even 7_6 and try them or are some games just not able to be backed up? thanks.

im trying to put NBA 2k5 and Sonic Mega Collection on the hard drive of my machine i own original copies of both games. I tryed my mortal combat Armagedon and it worked. Im just wondering if there are valadation checks on the original disks to prevent me from backing them up?

Odd, it sucks to not have a sure fire answer for you but you could try clearing the cache and if that don't help some times games work for me better if i put the stock copy in the xbox and use qwix to back it up to the pc, extract the iso and put the files on the xbox hdd by ftp.
Lot of steps but it has worked for me with KOTOR2 and COD3

yah that was what i did originaly was used flash fxp and the same file messes up 52%. now what is wierd is that the game works and seems to function i have yet to see what did not copy but for all intensive purposes it works fine. wierd!

yah no kidding this was kind of a test project for me i wanted to see the lay out of the files for the xbox and see how it functioned. Im going to do my 360 next. I have a 500 GB sata drive just waiting to hold media just hope it performs as well as the xbox mediacenter does. thanks for all the help I really appreciate it.

Your welcome for the help but i got bad news bro, the 360 can only run game backups when modded.
No new dash, APP's, EMU's the 360 will not run any of that.

You can run media but it will use windows media center and there might be a limit on HDD size.
You can ask about it by posting on this site: http://www.360-hq.com/ just use your name and password from this site.
I had this problem before where i coudn't get a whole file on to the f drive of the xbox using flashfxp and got to around 50% and then it failed. It then dawned (eventually) that it was because i ran out of space. Have you used all of the 120gb maybe? Might seem a stupid question but you never know......
