i have a Westell Versalink,it worked on all three before i upgraded the HDDs. all i can think of is that the drivers or whatever for the 1.6 ethernet port aren't compatible with the 1.1. what do you think?

Sorry bro but it must be your settings or something, the same install is used for all ver. of xbox.
If you feel it is needed the AID disk has an option to un install the mod and put it back to a stock xbox and you can try again.

What im saying is to return to stock and use the SID exploit to resoftmod, you know start from scratch and see if it helps but then again i still think it may be as simple as a firewall or ip conflict.

all three xboxes have the same exact files on them (except the eeprom) i've checked everything in the evox and softmod settings they are all the same. I don't know what it is, but i just started burning DVDs with all my games for thier xboxes,(SO MANY DVDS!!!!!) well, thanks for the help guys, if i ever figure this one out i'll revise this thread, lol.
Ive had the same problem as mentioned, so what i wrote above was a quick fix. Instead of FTPing into evo, quickly install unleash as an app, set it up with your network details then run it & ftp into it. _________________

just to update ya'll, i gave up on my brothers xbox, i started to install unleash and halfway thru the xbox froze. besides i've hooked him up with enough stuff to play with for a while lol. i haven't tryed it on my son's yet but MK: Armageddon still won't load past the "Press Start" screen from disc or HDD, and the only reason i bring this up again is because he keeps saying "go on the computer and ask those guys to make it work" of course he's talking about HQ lol. but i don't understand it, most things work perfect and some times his xbox will just freeze when running dvd2xbox or AID. i think i'm just gonna reinstall the softmod, can i do that with the bigger HDD or do i have to put back the original?

Yeah you can do an uninstall reinstall on the larger HDD, did you try clearing the E cache?
