Well I bought a Optical cable for the Xbox and was so excited because I wanted to hear my videos in other than just plain 2Channel.
I pull out my receiver and well I forgot it didnt have an optical plug. It only has the FrontLeft, FrontRight, RearLeft, RearRight and Sub.
Is there such an animal or do I simply need to purchase a new Amp? I know its not simply a Y plug or anything simple like that since the Optical cable is digital and RCA cables are analog, but I was hoping there was something out there cheap or less expensive than purchasing a new reciever. _________________ My Soft Mod Adventure - http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/postt23809.html

I have never really even heard of this before or used one, but I did some googling for you. And found a Digital to Analog converter box. This was the only one I found

Hey thanks. I looked everywhere and couldn't find any info. Every site I tried said it didn't exist because digital to analog was stupid. I'll have to dig into a bit more.
Then again I've been offered a new receiver for $200 which is more, but seems like it would be a better option overall.
