I used DVD2XBOX to rip my games to F:\games\ . Well some of them. I had game saves on the Xbox before I soft modded.
I fired up Halo so I could compare the load speed. I saw my game save. Loaded it up. Realized my controller settings where not to my likings. I edited my game controller settings in my profile. Hit save, backed out into the game main menu. It asked for which profile I was going to use and of course I went to use my game save and well it was gone. Its like it deleted it or something.
I then tried it again and used another profile I had in Halo. Loaded it up and played it for a few minutes. Stopped and hit the save progress, but I knew it wouldn't really save anything because I didn't really gain anything. Exited to the main menu and looked for the second game save. Its gone too.
Its not a super big deal since everything has been backed up, but I'm trying to figure out how to keep that from happening in the future and my wife would kill me if I loose some of her saves from some of her older games.
Could it be that all my game save data is on the E: and now my games are on G: ?
Could it be that I ripped all my games originally and they where placed on E then I moved them off the Xbox via FTP and reloaded them on to F:
I haven't checked DVD2XBOX other than in settings it is pointing at my F: drive. I did look at the game saves, but didn't notice anything you can change unless Im blind.

Welp I played another game this morning I think its called Gun Metal its been so long since I played a lot of my games and the game save worked just fine. However I'm pretty sure I ripped that one directly to the Xbox after I installed my new drive.
I'm thinking maybe trying to rip Halo directly to the Xbox F: opposed to using the rip I did earlier to E: and moved to F:
Otherwise I'm at a loss. Maybe its just Halo, but I haven't tried all my games as of yet.

Actually i had this problem before. How is your system modded? If you are comforetable going into your system settings then look for the area where your system is saving your games to. It is supposed to be saving to either tdata or udata in the E drive. Check and make sure this is the location it is saving because if it is not it will move your current save to where ever it is set to and your xbox may not know to look to this location to load the game saves. I hope this works for you, and if not i hope someone with more experience can help. Good luck

I soft modded it using the Soft Mod Installer.
I as well installed DVD2Xbox and XBMC
I moved my games to the F drive opposed to the E drive. I have no problem changing files if I knew what to change.
