I didn't know exactly where to post this one so I figured I'll just ask.

For the longest time I would just push the power button to shut down the Xbox because that was my own option. With the new soft modded Xbox running XBMC there is a shutdown button.

Is there a problem using one over the other. With a regular PC the Shutdown button is what is used, but will it hurt the Xbox not to use it.

Just asking so I can make sure I keep my box running smooth.

Thanks. If there is an advantage I wouldn't have an issue with chiping my Xbox to have the neat turn on ability, but I guess it would have to be a choice of price and effort to chip it. As well is there any advantages to a chip?

Yeah with a chip you can add more like the IR or LCD screen but the best is you can just pop in a new HDD and run it with no need for an eeprom and its almost imposable to brick.
