i dont know what to do with my xbox sso im modding it for fun, ive talk with a few people and they say to use SID. i got the latest SID and i dont know where to get the linux profile. I can handle it from there but does anybody know where i can get it, i tried to get AID 3.1 too but i wasn't able to get it transfered to my memory card. Every time i load up the linux file i found on action replay my game freezes, do i have to delete everything but the modding stuff or can i leave it there?

not sure about the softmod should be part of the rar for sid as far as the aid 3 disk i have used it for years. follow the guide on this site for burning it to a dvd-r then you will have no problems with aid after box is softmodded
box must be modded before it will read the aid disk

alright thanks for replying, im habing problems softmodding so i cant use the aid disk until i acomplish that. so i saw the vid tut and i have the same sid files and he uses a linux file (splinter cell) to start creating the backups and all that good stuff. i just wana get to the point where i can ftp my modded halo maps.

You can keep all the stuff on your xbox exept any save files from the game your going to use to soft mod.

k good, i wana keep my stuff, i got sid 5 and i need to get the linux file that DJB had on his video tutorial showing how to softmod useing SID 5. can you/somebody email the linux files or send me a link to download it to start off, then im gona look at some more tutorials showing what i gota do to start the modded dash. And do i gota be connected to live while im doing this stuff?

ok nevermind, i see where i can get them but the trouble with it is thefiles are zipped and cannot be transferred to the memory card. What do i do to get em transfered

Try unzipping them and just adding the file with the numbers in the Udata folder.
I cant ever get it to work in zip format.

you do not need to be connected to live, but you also have to be careful so your xbox doesnt get banned. good luck trying to transfer it.

so i tried to add the file with all of the numbers to my memory card using action replay and didnt work out it showed a circle with a slash in it, is there a certian format they have to be in to transfer them?

i got it from this site http://www.aidtracker.com/ after i got the files downloaded and extracted, i tried to put the folder on my AR memorycard but i couldnt do it. I tried doing it zipped, unzipped, almost everything

i know when i downloaded SID5 i left it zipped and dragged it from the documents folder right into mem card part of action replay and that was it. maybe its your memory card or an older ver. of AR.
