the intel core 2 maybe 3ghz, but it's only two core, the 2.5ghz quad core has 4 cpu's in it, and with water coolign up can up it to like 2.7, the quad core has a faster bus speed, higher L2 cache, and a better redesigned logic. so the porfaormance is extremely better. plus develpoers haven't fully reach the full potential of the quad core, so u the future programs and applications will be even faster with the quad core, once they r programmed to it.

Thats what he's talking about, although you might want to go with the 65 nm chip because its about $350 cheaper (that is if your on a budget). _________________

NEWLY REVAMPED UPDATED LIST OF PARTS!!!!!
I think this Case will be big enough??
all of this is found at newegg.com
Just click these links for the specs...
Montauk198 i want to congratulate u on selecting compatible parts for your future gaming rig. Most people go wrong there thinking they can use whatever parts they want. Everything will work out fine, the only opposition i have to your selection is the psychic's card. The card will barely help, cause less than 10 games support the card and it doesn't really increase the gaming experience. Your motherboard can support it so if ur dying for it, it'll still work. Everything looks fine and you'll should have no problem, hopefully. If u do, post the problem or pm me and I'll walk u thru it. Btw u have one hell of a budget. I wish i could build a rig like that. _________________ http://firestream.net/h4sigs/gen/BlAcKk%20MaGiiK_130515060912.jpg

I was just wondering about that physx thing. I'm not dieing to have it, although it is necessary to play games or do things i want to do. then I will get it.. I am just tired of getting the low cost pc that doesnt do anything.
Also I have no kids and few bills and both my wife and I work, so we are able to fit this into the budget plan to have a pc savings fund to be able to get this monster..it'll probably be towards Christmas before I can build it. So Basically it might be cheaper by then... _________________

I've got water cooling in mine and if I may recommend, you can't go wrong with the Thermaltake BigWater system. Stylish and very effective.
I'm searching for a UV reactive acrylic case to house all my new lovliness in, but you can never get them in the UK, which is a shame. Means I'm going to end up importing one in, and that means postage is going to be more than the case itself lol
Also, I never buy Intel, only AMD. Never bought an Intel in my life and never intend to. The AMD Phenom processors have a higher core speed, are quad core and are cheaper! At least they are over here, by a long way.
Oh, and to finish, I'm running Windows XP. Have no plans to change to Vista any time soon, as XP SP2 does all I need it to do.

Hey man,
Your list of items looks good (apart from that smelly Intel processor lol) and should serve you well. Almost $3000 worth huh?!
As for the case, not fond of it myself, reviews mention something about it being quite noisy too, however its all personal preference in the end. It'll fit everything inside it, as its a full ATX tower, the same size as mine. Trust me, you'll have space to spare inside lol.
Can't seem to find the package for my Memory, so pardon me if I'am wrong, I would have went with the Thermaltake System like Final Cloud suggested but due to the need of Drive Bays on my Antec PC Case with it's

Special three-layer side panel making this one of the quietest cases available.
I opted for this Coolit System to allow for a bunch of Silverstone Products and the four internal USB Ports provided by this type of Motherboard. so for the Silverstone Products I picked up for starters a LCD Display with remote and moved my Floppy to the very top Drive Bay followed by the LCD Display next one down will soon to be a Blu-Ray Drive and then a an old Sony CD/DVD Player I had, last but not least where my Floppy should be I added a Silverstone Multi USB Devise. All of this I got at Fry's Electronics.
I do recommend Thermaltake for it has a quick connector from the Cooling Unit to the CPU which you can add another linked Cooling Unit ie. VGA or Memory Cooler, something you just might want to look further into before you purchase, cause like you guys had mentioned to Montauk198 before space is limited inside a PC Case, and not only that some of these can be pretty expensive! _________________ Support A Hard Modder!
