I have an xbox that just doesn't get the use it should. I only have about 5 games for it and I realized I basically have a computer sitting there.
Well I like watching tv shows on hulu.com but they have to be ran from the site and can not be downloaded so I have to sit at the computer and watch them. So my question is with a modchip for the xbox (like the Xenium Lite) can I get a browser to come up with xbox to watch tv shows online?
Here's what i'm thinking... I get the mod chip and load something like Internet Explorer? onto it then hook the xbox up to a wireless router, which would then be connected to the wireless internet in my house. So that I can watch things in my room...
so, the main question... is something like Xenium going to make this possible? Thanks for any input ahead of time!

True that Wes. I know the softmod comes with a browser on the AID disk all you have to do is load it and connect and browse. I've never tried it but im sure it works or it wouldn't be available haha _________________

Hi joker and welcome to the site mate.
Yes you can stream whatever you like to a modded XBOX 1. (well just about anything i tried worked with a little playing around..)
I used to stream my satellite tv to my XBOX 1 directly so i know you can do it just fine.. XBMC even comes with trailers to stream built in im sure.

do you have to have evox or unleashx in order to be able to installed to install xmbc?
It seems that the dash is like "windows" while xmbc is a program that's meant just to be installed then ran from "windows" Do i have that right?
Also which would you recommend? evox or unleash? what's easier to use? Where might I find the download?
Trying to get all my ducks in a row before I get the chip (which should arrive pretty soon) If I can get this thing to stream videos from sites like hulu I'll be doing backflips in my room!!
Thanks for all your knowledge and help!

evox is just a replacement for the m$ dash, like a custom dashboard ya know? you can choose from several different dashes that come on the AID disk. XBMC is an application that you can pretty much do anything you want with. It comes on the AID disk as well. Or if you like, you can use XBMC as your dash. Hope this helps bro. later

ok, another quick question...
Found aidelux.com which is awesome. Currently downloading Auto-Installer Deluxe v4.20 Lite
Do you think this is a good version? The reason I ask is because it is downloading very slow (0-10kbs) (tried using limewire, now i'm using miro as it's moving alittle faster). I find that when things are this slow, it normally means the file is not that popular...

well not really it just depends on how many people are seeding the torrent that depends on the speed of the download. as long as you followed the link on www.aideluxe.com you will ok. just make sure you read the users manual that comes with the download before you try to burn it or anything. if you have any questions about it after you download it feel free to ask bro. glad i could help ya out _________________

For faster speeds try a better bit torrent client like AZERUES..
Once you have AID you wont need anything else.
Just install XBMC as your main dashboard and you will be good to go.
You can then ftp files to and from your xbox while watching movies or whatever..

i would look at xbmc scripts, which could be something for you to enjoy, its programmed in python (is that right guys?) and i love scripts you can do all sorts of viewing, i found a working joox one which was awesome and worked very well, you can get a youtube script, basically xbmc is the application and a script is like a little program which can run in xbmc, they can be any sort of thing from a game (i got tetris!) or a web site viewer like a joox viewer! hope this isnt blowing ur mind too much!

Ok, couple of newb questions...
downloaded that file and when i went to unzip it i noticed a few files "failed" is this common when you select to unzip everything in the Auto-Installer.Deluxe.v4.20.Lite.Xbox-Hq file?
Also, I don't have a dvd burner. Do I have to get access to one to burn this iso?
Lastly, are there any easy guides to follow starting from right after I install the chip? I have the chip install part practically memorized but there seems to be alot of different ways to choose and warnings to heed. I just want to get a browser up on my xbox and maybe a way to put more things into halo 2 (seen a friend have more guns on a tank during multiplayer and other cool options). I already read most of the Auto-Installer.Deluxe.v4.20.Lite.Manual but it seems difficult to follow.
Thanks for all the help...

If a file fails to unzip it's usually because the file is corrupt. I would try re downloading the file again. If you re download and the files are still failing try downloading from a different source.
I know that AID v4.1 Lite could be burnt to a CD-RW but not sure about v4.2. It just depends on what the file size is. I would say you are better off burning it to a DVD-R just to be on the safe side plus the dvd drives for xbox's are pretty picky on what disks they will read.
After you install the chip, unless it comes preflashed, you would need to flash the chip with a bios. Once you've decided on what chip you're going to install you need to find a bios for it but please don't ask for a link cause we can't do that. You would need to find it on your own. But once you have the chip and the bios check the TUTORIALS section on how to flash your chip. The AID manual is not that hard to follow. Just read over it a couple times and make sure you understand everything before you try to burn anything. If you have any questions about AID or the AID manual feel free to ask bro. _________________
