Ok 2 days ago i turned my xbox on and it did the startup with the x then it just goes to a blank screen can anyone help me please

Chip or soft mod?
What was used to mod it?
that kind of stuff.
I must say some of us in here are real good when it comes to xbox but not that good. LOL

if softmodded i would say that you have deleted your dash. if you have the aid disk you should be able to re install it but if its a chip then i have no idea so we do need some for information before we can start to help ya _________________

its softmodded and i have tried the aid disk but it doesnt work this sucks i have a new hard drive that i just got today for the xbox but i open up my computer and its only got SATA and no eide so looks like im screwed got any good ideas for that and i dont think i deleted it i know what im doing when i look in files but this just started happening out of nowhere and thanks for the help

I wold say in your case you will need to build an eeprom reader and use that to rebuild thee HDD.

Are you getting an error code? If you are it will appear in the top left corner. If you have one that would help us out a lot.
no error codes just a black screen. i dont know if this will help but when i went to the dashboard when it was working i turned my front led to red and now everytime it boot s up to the xbox screen then blank the led turns red and the TV kinda flickrs like it want to boot but nothin happens

Is your softmod a single boot or a duel boot? If you have a duel boot with the ms dash then start the xbox up by pressing the eject button. See if it will load up the ms dash. _________________

That doesnt work i dont know what dual boot is boot i only have one hard drive if thats whats your asking this freakin sucks man... Oh do you guys have any good ideas for the SATA eide problem because i think if i get that to work i can just put the bigger hard drive on because i think it unlocks right before it goes to the black screen

yea sata to eide right sounds good should i buy it and put the eeprom on it and see if it works. I have a Maxtor 20gb i know its not that big but i got it for free and its bigger than 5gb that the xbox comes stock with. do you guys think i should waste 20 dollars to see if this works or not

If you have the eeprom and know from the start that this wont 100% for sure work then i would go for it.
