Yes just hook the fan up using the 12 volt mod and that will keep the fan running full blast as long as it is on.If you need help doing this just let me know and I will walk you through it. _________________

If you have a softmod you cant change the speed that the fan will be at outside of the dash. If you have a modchip you need to change the fan speed setting on the bios. If you set the fan speed in the bios to 100%, it will run at 100% all the time. _________________

I wold guess he means you need to hand edit the bios then re-flash the chip with it?
Darth has a habit of half answering and then taking forever to check back.
But if your doing the 12volt fan mod it will run 100% all the time so you dont need to do that.

Well i assumed he would know how to do it. My lack of checking back is due to only having about 20 mins a night to check all the the hq sites.
If you have the X3 3294 bios you can change it in config live. If you have any other bios you will have to edit it on your computer and reflash the chip. _________________

Darth why can't he just do the 12 volt fan mod? Wouldn't that be way easier then confusing him with checking whether or not his flux capacitor is enabled? _________________

Either way works, but when i edited my fan speed on my X3 3294 bios and on my X2 5035 bios it was insanely easy. _________________

so i was playing a game on my hd and after about 45 min my xbox just shuts off and the greenlight is still on so the only way i was able to turn it off was from removing the power cord....i than turned it back on and i checked the temp on xbmc and it said my cpu is at 125f and my gpu at 150....how can i fix this to stop the overheating....?
I cut a hole in the bottom of the HDD and placed a 2in X 2in fan underneath taped of the rest of the opening with some electrical tape set it up to the 12v System fan so they both run to together set my XBMC settings to about 70rpm and on a warm day do to the entertainment center I have have to place a house fan toward the direction of my Console so it gets enough ventilation.
To wes213 question; make sure the System fan is pulling out the air and not forcing the air in. _________________ Support A Hard Modder!

LOL It don't read like a question but yeah man the fresh air pulls in the side vents and exhausts out the back.
If the fan is pulling air in from the back it will get cool for a few min. but then start to heat up.
