I recently installed a 120GB HDD with success. I went to put my N64 roms onto it and I was told that I had insufficient disk space. Wes told me to use the partitioner to fix it, but I have no clue how to use it. I don't want to erase everything.
Can someone please tell me what I need to do to fix this? This is my first time ever seeing partitioner, I have no clue as to what I'm doing. I know it's easy for someone to tell you to fix something they have fixed several times before. But it's easier said than done in this case. A little help here please. _________________

Just make sure F and G are enabled in your dash and only use xbox partitioner to change F and G.
At the bottom it will show how much space you have left, add that extra space to F or F and G and the other drives partitions will stay the same.
Back up your eeprom to your PC just Incase.

I see "extended partitions" as the bottom half of the screen. I'm assuing that's what you mean by free space available. I have 11209.99MB in slot "6". I don't know if that's right, seeing as how I just installed a 120GB HDD.
On my Unleash dash, I can only see E and C. No F or G. In my file manager, I have only C and E also, with the exception of the usaul x,y,z.
I'm not kidding when I said I have no clue about this partition stuff.
Also, I have the orignal HDD still so shouldn't that serve as an eeprom backup? Just in case I can always put that one back in. _________________

Ok so that helped out. I formatted the 6 slot into 32K clusters.
I still didn't have a 7 available. I rebooted and still my dash, nor my file manager shows F or G. I'm guessing it would only show F because I only have a 120GB. I still don't see it.
I feel like some of this stuff is still over my head and I think from time to time I might be nerve racking. If I don't know, I'm going to ask somebody. How else am I supposed to learn to help the next man right?
Anything else you recommend doing? That tut helped with the picks, but still doesn't explain why this is necessary? _________________

What dash are you running and did you enable the F drive in the dash settings?

I had no idea you could do that from the settings.
I am using UnleashX. I have now enabled both F and G, even though I don't think I'll need G, I did it anyways. Anything else? _________________

Ok I can see an F now in the file manager, but not on the dash. I don't need G as I don't have that much space. Even after enabling G, it doesn't show on either the dash, nor the file manager. No empty space, no show I'm guessing. _________________

If the F drive is showing up now then no that should be all you need to do.
