right ive done this before but it really scared me cos i thought i nearly lost all my data, i need a copy of this to finish an install on my mates box as well, i actually dont have a dvd in mine at the mo so ill borrow my mates, i need to update nearly all my emus, and probably most my apps, as u probably all now ive got a softmod 3.1 (i think i will have to double check this!) do i need to update my softtmod? i got too much on my hard drive to do a full back up, my plan is to change my data places names, reinstall emus and apps, and hopefully just boot back to xbmc when its done! any advice/cautions much appreciated as usually!

or could i just extract the emus and apps i want from the aid disc and ftp over??

I FTP all my stuff to the xbox.
