i backed up my eprom etc and formatted everything and then choose modchip one click installs and setup with xmbc dash
all using aid 4.21
.....
Directories look like this
c: audio fonts xboxdashdata xodash evoxdash.xbe xboxdash.xbe
e: apps games etc tdata udata xbmc
and f: has all my games on
PS if i try to load msdash by turning off mod chip with front switch it just comes up service required 05 and i have no ms dash option in xmbc except in programs folder and that doesnt do anything when i click it

You need to select xboxdash.xbe to launch MS dash if you want a way to launch it from the get go you can add X-select from the aid disk or if you got XCL you can set it to boot XBMC by default and set it to launch MS dash when you boot holding the trigger in.
If you lock the HDD then the error 5 will go away.

Is this because the way i installed aid?
as previously with the older builds im sure it worked fine.
seems like the 2nd option XCL boot holding a trigger would be ok
what i hoped would be possible is booting msdash from xbmc

As far as i know XBMC has no option to boot MS unless you do it from the file manager.

I never use it, i guess all its good for is if you want to play on live but you cant play on live if the xbox was on live before the mod and HDD upgrade.
