Hi all. First up let me say that I've read the Faqs, and spent a good few hours searching for information on the whole Interflab and the forums here.

I'm looking for some information on how to upgrade my dashboard and also how to find out the version of XBMC I'm running...other than sitting through all the credits which might be the only way!

I've just successfully modded my XBox, but it was a nightmare. I was given an Xploder to do it, which was a nightmare since everything is for the Action Replay.

It took me ages to find that the Auto Installer Deluxe v3.1 has the appropriate game saves for an Xploder and then after that they are dropped from the package. So I had to install a dashboard from back then.

I installed the EvolutionX, and it's a messy, difficult to read screen and having seen the screenshots for the latest dashboards I'm keen to install UnleashX from the AID v4.10 that I have.

Except I have no idea how to upgrade/change the dashboard, and I can't find anything about how to do it.

Many thanks - and the site is a great resource by the way. Well done all.

This isthe way I have set up many xbox's lately. Put your AID disc in the drive let it boot. Since your using a softmod you are going to want to install a softmod dash. So goto that menu. Now install XBMC as your dash to your e-drive. This will overwrite UnleashX. Now if you want to run any other DashBoards install them as apps and run them from XBMC the apps section.

OPTIONAL: Since your using a softmod that means you probably didnt upgrade your hard drive. If you havent chances are you have a segate and if so you can get a extra 2 gigs from it.

FOLLOW THESE STEPS CAREFULLY!!!!!!!!

Step 1: Boot the AID disc
Step 2: Goto the format menu on AID
Step 3: Look at drive F: it should read 0 (if so continue, if not stop)
Step 4: Find the option that says "format drive F:"
Step 5: Make sure you have the right option and click that.
Step 6: If you have a stock seagate hard drive your F: drive should now read 1837.00gb roughly.
Step 7: Your done exit AID and hope to God you didnt click the wrong option lol. You would be surprised how many people mess this up!
