Is it wise to put the rubbers back under the xbox after you opened it up and closed it back just to prevent any static transfer to the screw?

Won't make too much difference. I tend to find aftre you've taken them off once or twice they begin to lose their stickyness anyway, so I always leave mine off.

After I have done a thorough cleaning and any mods I want to do to my xbox I super glue the feet back on the xbox too prevent it from scratching anything valuable. As for the sparks and something burning I can't help but LMFAO! Laughing I would have flipped out!!!! LOL! Like it was on the carpet and it starting making spark noises and you smelt a funny smell? That is priceless!! I would have lost it right there! Sorry dude I have to be honest and say that is the funniest thing I have heard all day! I just wish I could have seen your face. Laughing

I know it sounds like that but I am the kinda man that laughs at a funeral can't understand but you soon will. Sorry got that from a song. No sometimes weird stuff like that makes me laugh my butt off. Its like when I was switching out power supplies in my old xbox and got zapped because I forgot to unplug the damn thing. LOL now that is funny I don't care who you are! Laughing

the rubber pads shouldnt have done anything. I have have mine off and its lying on the carpet and i play my xbox games with the xbox on the carpet. He jus had sum static electricity issues. Ur more lilkely to fry ur mobo urself from static then the carpet with the rubber pads on. Microsoft put those there for a reason.

lol it was pretty funny to think that something like that happened but what i did is i took my glue gun and glued around the screws so that way they wont conduct any static.
