Alright here's the deal, I just got into FTP not that long ago thank god and now there are a few things I want to tweak. If I want to throw a soft mod onto a buddies computer, where can I find the files in my hd to put on his and where would I put them? I did my soft mod with mech and I am not sure yet if his will work.(Of course I will try that first but I would still like to know the later) I also got a friend who's disk drive is shot and just wants to do emulators and stuff so the only way I could mod his gear is by ftp files from mine to his hd or switch out disk drives and try mech. Oh here is another thing I though of today. If I back up my game files to my computer along with the entire game, is there a emulator that will let me play xbox games on my computer?? I know you can make usb connections so you can use a keyboard and mouse on the xbox, but can you make a xbox controller connect to the pc to use in an emulator?? I think that would be really kick ass. Anyway let me know what you guys think. Oh yeah one last thing, anyway to upgrade the system memory? I think I asked this awhile back but I can't quite remember and I am sure someone has a short and sweet answer. Thanks! _________________ RastaCalavera

1 if the MS dash is up to date use mech to softmod the xbox.
2 put your disk drive in his xbox just long enuff to softmod so he can run emus.
3 you cant softmod with ftp.
4 the memm upgrade can be done and we have lots of threds on this here in the HQ, its not worth the work.
5 you can use usb tips to run the xbox controller on your pc and i think thay have an xbox pc emu but i dont know what it is or how well it works.

I don't know of any stable Xbox emu being vreated for PC yet. Thats not to say that there aren't any, but just none which I've heard of. I've tried a few in my time, they promised everything and ended up delivering diddly squat! (that means nothing for those who don't live in UK ).
Best bet is to google it, see what you get. Just don't hold your breath.

Yeah I looked into it a little bit more and all the ratings out there say it sucks. Thanks for the advice with the FTP soft mod question I'll just have to pray mech works cause I have never done a hard mod. _________________ RastaCalavera
